A Persona is a manifestation of a person's personality, referred to as a 'mask' for an individual to use to endure life's hardships. A Persona is similar to a Shadow. Shadows are malevolent manifestations of one's inner thoughts, while a Persona is a manifestation of the same feelings but tamed and trained. These Persona can be summoned to your side to assist in your ever going battle against shadows. They reside within you, and grow in strength as you grow yourself. An embodiment of its owner's psyche, it takes the form of a mythological being and possesses incredible power.
Personas are obtained by crossing over into the Reversed World and hearing a voice beckoning for you to call out to it. Personas are summoned in the Reversed World by willing into existence a Tarot card and crushing it. The Persona then comes out of a blue mist to carry out its commands and then returning to the mind of its owner. Personas cannot be summoned outside of the Reversed World...at least, not usually.
